Practice Inturder Alert drill
In order to promote awareness regarding school safety protocol and to better prepare students and staff for any emergency situation, our school in collaboration with KCC Security participated in an “intruder alert” drill this morning (4/30/08). This practice alert followed a lesson all students received during their “B” band classes yesterday regarding school safety issues. Yesterday's short video presentation, prepared lessons, and class discussion illustrated to the students what to do during a variety of emergency situations. The drill went very well with the protocol put into place very quickly and effectively. As the saying goes "Practice makes Perfect."
